This morning, Gus is no longer responding to our voices. Dr. Madany was not even successful in getting Gus to wake up. Since our "Warrior" has been so unique throughout this walk and this hospital stay, we cannot even guess how long before he takes that final step.
Our prayer as a family is that Gus goes to his new home. Our warrior has fought long enough.

Dear Kathleen and Family,
My thoughts and prayers have been with you from the moment we met last summer.I will never forget the ride in Gus's jeep down to the river and his wonderful generous spirit. This is where the jouney began for me. May God bless and watch over your entire family.

The Warrior fought the hardest of battles, stood firm in doing it his way. Having set aside his weapons, having been brave and strong for so long, he is at peace knowing the outcome is now in the hands of his loving God. He rests in his favorite meadow, grateful for all the blessings that have been his, basking in the glow of God's sunshine, warm and content. Feeling love from everyone, and everywhere, he is ready to return home.
Love to all
My heart goes out to you. Gus has shown us all how to live. Gus will be an angel to watch over his family. Love you.
